I went out with my mom and brother to the mall today...I guess it was a bad idea for me to go since I already know I can't spend any money...have to save up for school and gifts. I saw some clothes I really wanted to buy...been looking for them for a while too! I didn't want to spend money or charge them on my credit card...or ask my mom to buy them for me...I'm old enough not to ask for stuff...so I left the mall empty handed...=(...it really sucks but there's nothing I can do about it. I'll just go shopping again when I have money to spend...sigh...if only someone take me out on a shopping spree where I don't have to pay for anything. That's actually something I really want to experience...but I'll probably feel bad and end up not getting anything. If I was given a budget then that might be different. As much as I want it to happen...its like one of my dreams...but it will never happen...so its best I rely on myself to save up...sigh...sucks to be broke!

customized~

2 weeks ago I finally got all my supplies to customize my itouch...I did it right away and took about 1 1/2 hours to fill the whole front with swarovski rhinestones. In return, he or rather us the family is hosting a exchange student to stay at our house for this week. I can understand why they're only staying for a week rather than 2 weeks...since there's nothing interesting here...lol. Anyways, the host family and the student is suppose to exchange gifts and Takeshi's family gave us this really really beautiful plate decoration. I love Japanese art and crafts...I stared at it for a while...looking at the little details. Very beautiful. I remember back in high school I participated in this clay event(forgot what is was called) but you paint layers of paint (glaze?) over the dried clay and put it in the oven to bake. After its done, the clay turns all glossy and stuff...but that was no where near as beautiful as this. I don't know how they made this plate all metallic and textured but I'm assuming they go through similar oven glazing process?...I took a crappy pic of the plate. Seriously the plate looks a lot nicer than the pic. If I take the pic any closer, my face and the camera's reflection will show on the plate...lol

Happy Shopper!

I ordered some swarovski rhinestones end of last week to cover the front of my ipod touch and I received them today! I've been busy doing orders and school work non-stop. I'm truly grateful to have orders nowadays...you know...recession...so I shouldn't complain! Thank you very much to all my new and returning customers! =D

I went to the fabric store today for some supplies I ran out of and they have new fabrics in! Very cute ones...they'll make really cute dresses. I didn't know they were about to close for the day at that time so I didn't manage to get any of the fabrics...=( but I'll be back! They got those ultra tiny polka dot fabrics in that I've been searching for the longest time! Must get a large piece of that! =D

Hmm...what else is new....ah...I got Ayu's new album: NEXT LEVEL in the mail few days ago. Its the 2cd+dvd version. The USB version is at the customs right now...should receive it on monday. I really enjoyed the live cd...POWDER SNOW was awesome! It was a miracle after like 10 years she finally performed this song for the first time! Hopefully she'll continue to sing her old songs in future concerts. As for the album itself, I still don't know whether I like it or not. I dunno...as a long time big fan of hers, this is the first time I'm feeling this way. Well its a refreshing change from her previous albums. I guess I'm still not used to the change?

Few days ago I made my first purchase over the phone. I think the week before or something Juicy Couture website updated new sunglasses and there's this oversized sunglasses that looks exactly like my dior one but in pink! I really wanted it but at that time it says it won't be available till end of april....so I decided to wait. Few days later, I checked again and it says end of march...so I decided to wait for a few days to order when they'll actually have it in stock. Few days ago I checked again and the pink ones are all gone! o_o...only the other two colors that I don't care about are still there. That sucks...so I went to Neiman Marcus and they're also out of the pink...and only the pink one....sigh...so I went to Nordstrom and finally they have it! They ship to Canada but I have to place my order by phone. It was kinda risky giving out my credit card info and everything over the phone but I wanted the sunglasses badly...its so cute in pink! Hopefully everything went through ok and I'll receive it in the mail soon!

Solution to chapped lips?

I have dry lips all the time...its very annoying! Last night I decided to browse the internet for solutions and I found a product that many people recommend using to get rid of chapped lips...and that is vaseline! =O Its suppose to work like wonders?! Well I figure it was worth a try so I went to shoppers and bought one. Some ppl say just put vaseline on your lips before you go to bed every night and apply chap stick during the day should to the trick but others say put vaseline on the lips and brush it lightly with a toothbrush once a week and apply chap stick whenever its necessary. I'm guessing both works and its just a matter of preference? Well...I'm gonna try tonight and see how it goes~!!

My new gadget and decoden

I got a new ipod touch~ Honestly I never cared about owning stuff like this...you know electronics that's in and everyone else have...but I'm glad I got this ipod touch coz its very fun and useful aside from the usual stuff- mp3, videos. I always thought it was just a regular mp3 player with a touch screen XD...well if I cared before I would of known! The thing I like the most about this touch is that I can download applications- games, and useful tools like dictionaries, translators, measurement convertors, etc. I guess this is goodbye to my other mp3 player which I really liked. XD

Few days ago I bought a new case and screen protector for my touch....its baby pink. =D I'm planning to cover it with swarovski rhinestones. They're a lot more expensive than acrylic ones but they're a lot more sparkly. *_* I bought a decoden book the other day at the Japanese book store...it teaches you how to put rhinestones on cell phones and other handheld stuff. Its really popular in Japan and many girls do it. I knew about this a long time ago but didn't look into it till now. Aside from covering cellphones with rhinestones, they make the cellphones like cakes...they add fake pastry creams and fruit slices, tiny biscuits and icecream scoops that I think are made out of polymer clay? on it. It's very cute! but it makes the item a lot thicker coz they stick out.

Here is a pic I found at dolce deco of the cake deco that I was talking about. In case if you don't know, underneath the thick layer is a pink ds...in other words, all that is stuck on to the cover of the ds...XD...so cute! I know when you're new to the job it takes time to adjust to it and learn what you need to know...but after 2 months and yet you still make the same simple mistake is bad! What's worse is the customer had to explain to you the difference and yet you have to disagree and argue while looking clueless is seriously... I don't know what to say. >_>...Lately I've been having to deal with these clueless and lazy people at the post offices that it makes me very frustrated. These clueless and lazy postal people all have one thing in common...they create huge line ups. Clueless people ofcourse don't know what they're doing so they take a long time. Lazy people knows what they're doing but takes their time doing the most unnecessary little things. Out of the 7 postal offices I've been to, only 3 people knows what they're doing and efficient. It's seriously my lucky day if they happen to be working when I go there. Today was one of those unlucky days...I seriously wanted to punch her face and bang her head on the monitor...XD...it was really ridiculous.

Last week I ayu's new single arrived in the mail. =D Came with 3 posters with 2 of the same one. (The cover of the cd+dvd and the drawing of ayu as goku by the original dragonball manga artist.) One of the songs is the theme song of the upcoming live action dragonball movie that looks like its gonna suck...XD...well atleast the song itself is good~ =D Well here's pics of my new posters and the 3 versions of the single~

midterm is coming soon!

sigh...midterm is coming soon...=(...its been a while since my last midterm exam so I'm a bit worried about it. Next week I'll study my butt off at the library! I can't study at home...I'll end up snacking and browsing on ebay...XD

End of last month I told myself not to buy anything this month to save for my courses...but I failed...XD...this is no good! but I know if I don't buy them, I'll seriously regret it later. I preordered ayu's new album in the 2cd+dvd and USB memory stick. Ayu is the first major Japanese artist to release music in the USB format. As a big fan of hers, this is a must get item! The USB is out of print already. Within an hour since its up for preorders in cd sites. Thank god I was able to preorder one! I highly doubt it'll be available on the shelves even on the release day. Next week Feb 25th is the release day of ayu's new single rule/sparkle. Both songs are really awesome! I pre-ordered all 3 versions. Can't wait to get them in the mail next week!

Last night I found a really nice Juicy bag on ebay and it was a good deal too! I remember seeing that bag on the Juicy website last fall and I wanted it back then. I don't care if its a past season bag...I really like how it looks and since it was a good deal, I bought it! and now I'm broke...XD...well I'll just have to work even harder now!

weehee~

Got my bag last week =D...shipping was really fast but had to pay custom fees...that part sucks...>_>...I feel like I'm back to few years ago when a lot of my clothes and accessories were pink...XD...so yea..here's a pic of my bag with my Yuki peeking out from it...lol...now I'm planning on getting those Juicy velour zip-up hoodies...in pink, light purple, grey, and black. I used to wear zip-up hoodies a lot few years ago for work but they kinda suck...can't wear them out anymore. These Juicy ones are more expensive but the cutting looks way better compared to them. Gotta save up!

I went to the fabric store few days ago...and thank god I went coz they had new fabrics in! I went coz I ran out of pink plain fabric...and I ended up coming out with a big bag of fabrics!...XD Now I'm in the process of making new stuff...need to get some new supplies...so I'll probably have them up in a few weeks. Hope I get them soon!

Sleepy...@_@

omg...so sleepy from reading the textbook! but I have to finish the chapter today...coz the next one needs to be done tomorrow...so that I won't be last minute! I finished my assignment the day before even though its due tomorrow. I'm quite proud of myself. =D I used to do homework last minute...like the night before the due date...lol...but now I changed! I feel so much better now that it's already done! Now I just have to finish reading the 2 chapters, do the stupid questions, and I'll be done for the week! woohoo~

ah yes...I finally bought my Juicy laptop bag...I bought the pink one...coz by the time I want to buy the grey one, someone else bought it. >_>...oh well...I like pink too. I guess it was a good thing I bought the pink one instead of waiting to see if a gray one will be listed again...coz I don't see any pink or gray ones on ebay anymore after I bought the pink one. I paid express so it should arrive shortly...hopefully. There's a huge snow storm down in the states...so hopefully that won't affect the delivery time too much. I should receive it next week...hehe and annoy the crap out of my bf with my girly pink bag....hehehe

Custom Order

This hoodie was a custom order I did last week. The customer wanted the black skull print with black hood strings on a yellow hoodie. It turned out pretty good...black on yellow. =D....I've been getting some custom requests at Etsy for different types of hoodies. One request was zip-up hoodies. I actually thought of making zip-up hoodies a long time ago and I tried making one before...but I wasn't satisfied with the result. I never liked working with zippers...its really a pain in the butt to sew it on fabrics especially thicker fabrics like the sweatshirt fleeces...so I don't think I will make zip-up hoodies any time soon.

Continuing from my last post...I went to below the belt to see if they still have the pink Juicy Couture laptop bag I wanted and they don't have it anymore....sigh...this is like the 3rd time they don't have what I wanted. First it was the pink Juicy daydreamer bag which I ended up getting a different black one from the Juicy website, second was the rain boots which I ended up buying from ebay, and third is this laptop bag which I will end up buying on ebay as well. Sigh...I'm always too late. I was browsing on ebay for the past few days...they have the pink laptop bag I wanted (which is good)...they also have it in black (which was one of my choices)...and then there's one listing for a grey one!! The grey one looks really nice. It's practical like the black but not as boring. Now I'm deciding grey or pink...>_>...the listing for the grey one ends tomorrow...so I have to decide fast! I like them both equally. >.<...oh man...

Mission accomplished!

Ah! It feels so good not having to worry about certain something for another half a year!~ I got my bf a Valentines day gift today. It wasn't exactly what I was planning to get before I went to get it...I ended up getting a better one...a little more expensive but it's suppose to be better. I hope he likes it and will be surprised. I guess my gifts haven't been that surprising to him....haven't seen his surprise look for a long time...so this time I'm going for the unexpected...lol....well if he IS expecting this from me, then that sucks. -____-...times like this....I wish he wasn't so conscious about me....sometimes he knows me too well for my liking....its like I'm too predictable. >_>

Hmm....what's new since my last update? Lots of stuff! Something very unusual happened to me. I was addicted to the Twilight novels. o_O...omg....at first I bought the first 2 books: Twilight and New moon...I thought those would last me till May. (That's when the paperback version of Eclipse and breaking dawn is gonna be released)...but I ended up finishing the 2 books in 4 days! This is really unbelievable for me coz I don't read novels! The last time I read novels was for English class in high school...even then...it was hard for me to just read one chapter. The Twilight saga novels are really good and addicting. Once you start reading them, its hard to let go. Right after I finished the first 2 books, I went back to Chapters to get the 3rd and 4th book in hard cover. They were out of the 3rd one (Eclipse) at that time....only breaking dawn...so I got it....that was really really depressing...sigh...but good thing they restocked them after a few days. I ended up finishing the last 2 books in 5 days...coz they're a bit thicker than the first 2. I like how the whole thing ended. If I have time, I'll read the novels again. =D...hehe...I really hope they'll publish Midnight Sun. The story is very interesting in Edward's perspective...kinda funny too. They're also releasing the official guide book in May...muhahaha...I'm so getting it! =D

I've been getting this little craze for Juicy Couture stuff. Actually I liked this brand for quite a few years now but never bought any of their stuff for some reason. I guess maybe I've been concentrating on spending most of my money on doll stuff too much?..lol Their bags, jewelleries and accessories are what attracts me. I don't like their clothing besides the track suits...anyways... yea...I'm slowly building up my Juicy collection. This is like my new 'hobby'....so far I have the gold and silver starter charm bracelets, a black ring bling day dreamer bag, and a pair of pink sammy rain boots. My next purchases will be charms and a pink laptop bag. I was planning to go to below the belt today to see if they still have the pink juicy laptop bag I want...but I didn't have time to go. =( I hope they still have it...last time I saw it was a few weeks ago...o_O...actually I've been debating whether I should get black or pink...black is more durable but pink looks better. Since I don't see myself using it that often, I'm gonna get pink. I want to bring my laptop over to my bf's...so I can work on my stuff while he plays games or something. I can do my homework or my new business project....so yes I will need a bag! hehehehe...

snow sucks!

sigh...its been snowing sooo much for the past week. =( As much as I like snow, its really inconvenient if you have to go out. My mom's car got stuck in the snow while she was trying to go out...so we can't drive out, and taxis won't come. The only way is to take the bus. I had to take the bus twice within this week and it was brutal! Walking all the way to the bus stop took twice as long and twice the amount of energy...people don't shovel the sidewalks! Snow was as high as my knees at the bus stops...it sucks. The only reason I had to go out is to mail the orders. I was determined to mail them out...that's what kept me from turning around to head home. After successfully mailing them at the post office, I felt very accomplished...lol.

Today is boxing day....I didn't go out like I would for the past few years...coz I already bought what I want and the snow sucks. Every boxing day, I would go to this specific store to buy clothes coz everything in the store would be 30% off. This year, they started the boxing day sale few days earlier and everything in the store is 50% off....so I bought a bunch of clothes...woohoo =D

Right now I'm impatiently waiting for a package to arrive...I'm very worried...coz last time they didn't leave me a delivery notice to pick up my package like they're suppose to. Good thing I had a tracking number...or else I wouldn't of known my package arrived at the post office. Its already bad enough they're too lazy to deliver at my door...just leave the notice in the mail box normally...but this time they didn't even leave me a notice. >_>...this package I'm waiting for, I don't have a tracking number and its suppose to be here soon if not already...I just hope it'll get here safely. I don't mind if its not gonna be delivered to me at my door, and that I'll have to go to the post office to pick it up in this weather...just please leave me a delivery notice! Please!!

whew...that was close!

Yesterday after I got home from mailing an order at the post office, I realized I forgot to include a gift inside! o_O so I quickly put a pair of scissors, packaging tape, and the gift in my bag and ran down stairs to the living room to look for the yellowpages...and they're not listed in there! I was gonna call them to put the package aside....so I quickly drove to the post office...dangerous driving! and asked the lady at the post office if I can have my package back coz I forgot to put something inside. The lady said no because the postman just came to pick up all the letters and parcels! omg...what are the chances??!! so I ran like mad...out the mall where the postman parked his truck. When I saw him, he was about to leave. Good thing I ran like mad or else he would or left...I felt embrassed running like that...but it was worth it at the end. The postman was very very nice! He opened the door at the back of the truck and helped me search for the package. I got the package back and thanked him many times....lol. After that I went back in the mall and put the gift in the package on the bench...and dropped it off at the post office. I was driving home sweaty...lol....honestly if I didn't go through the trouble to put the gift inside the package, I probably wouldn't be able to sleep last night....thinking OMG! How can I forget that??!!!

New sewing machine~ woohoo!! =D

I got a new sewing machine last sunday! The gifts are handmade by me and they're very cute~ I'm not saying its cute coz I made it...lol...but really it turned out quite cute. =D...so if you want this mysterious gift, make sure you place an order before the month ends. =D

Free X-mas gift for Blythe~

Like last year, I'll be giving away free X-mas gifts for each blythe orders from my stores starting Dec 1st....and ofcourse this year's gift will be different. I'm currently making them and its something blythes or dolls in general can wear. =D

I feel like my work area isn't organized enough....like I have laces and stuff in plastic bags...>_>...I need to buy some storage boxes. I went to michaels earlier today and saw a book on how to organize your work/craft area and omg...its so nice! The rooms they showed looks so nice and organized! I want a craft room like one of those...*drools*

Tomorrow I'll be looking for a new sewing machine. I've been having trouble with my singer...it pisses me off so much...ugh! I'm planning to get either a brother or a kenmore. My first sewing machine (which is actually my mom's) is a kenmore and I really liked it...till it broke down. =( It wasn't a really nice one but it was simple and easy to use...which is what I need. I never used brother before but read some nice things about it...and its cheap...so tomorrow I'm gonna look at both brands and see which one is better. =D

Updated shop with new items!

Finally updated my shops with new items!...2 dresses and 1 hoodie. The dresses and hoodie are available at both my website and Etsy shop. =D

Just saw the news about the new face mold they're bring out. Fbl...its suppose to resemble Ebl...which is my fav face mold. If that's true, then I'll be very happy! I'm also looking forward to Q-pot princess milk bisQuit's promo pic....just saw some of the accessories and they look like real biscuits~ very cute!

Christmas is coming soon~

Yes Christmas is coming soon! I already started doing some Christmas gifts shopping and planning...worked out my budget and started buying stuff that needs to be purchased online. I think this year I'll be purchasing more stuff locally than online...mainly because I'm getting more cad $ from the US $ I have in my Paypal. =D

Last week I bought a new cage for Memo~ Finally! Its all thanks to my bf for taking me to pet smart. =D The brand is Top Wing...it was $164 plus tax. I could of bought a new Blythe! but its ok...Memo really needed a bigger cage. The quality of the cage is very good =) I like the way the entrance door was designed...very safe...as in Memo can't open the door and escape...hehe. There's still room for more toys....maybe I'll get him more toys for Christmas. =)

Frosty Frock promo pic!~

I didn't expect to see Frosty Frock's promo pics today...lol. She's cute indeed and as expected, her stock clothes are very plain...very very plain. XD Some of the members @ TIB pointed out she looks very close to Saffy...and she really does. The major difference is Frosty Frock is sbl and Saffy is rbl. I like sbl more. =D She also resembles Mitten...which I really like but she's US$500+ for the set with the petite. My only girl that was over US$500 was art attack. I don't want to spend so much on a doll anymore...if I ever do, it will be a Kozy...but she's like about $1000 for a nrfb. o_O...well I'm happy with my Blythe family already (maybe a few more members XD...hehehehe)

I've been visiting TIB a lot recently and my Blythe passion came back~ don't know if this is a good thing or not. XP There's still a few girls waiting for me to reroot...god knows how long they've been waiting...sorry!..but I will finish them!! I also need to update my website with pics of my girls and the customizing tips section. I've been wanting to update them but never got a chance to. I haven't took pics of my girls aside from modeling items for my shop for a lonnnng time...I think where to take the pics is the biggest problem. I'm not very creative when it comes to taking photos...like posing them and stuff. ..but I will take pics!!

<-- just took a few pics of Memo...here's one of them=D He was on the playpen shredding paper...so I just quickly took some pics. The older he's getting, the more he moves. I can only get 1 decent pic out of like 10. His body doesn't move when I take pics...its his head that keeps turning and stuff...as if he wants me to take like every angle of his face. Memo I can't do that when you move so fast! Now he's resting on my shoulders falling asleep while I'm typing this. He's a good birdie. =D...just a little bit of a biter sometimes... but its ok...no blood yet! I was looking at old pics of momo and melon...I miss them very much...hope they are doing ok. I hope momo's not breeding yet or anytime soon...that is what I'm afraid of the most...coz I don't know if they will provide her with the right stuff and spend the time taking care of her like I did. I remember spending so much time researching on breeding...many hours of reading, and watching clips. I just hope they're ok...warm and well fed.

New items update~

Its been awhile since I put new items in my shops. Both my website and etsy shop is updated with 8 new items. 6 minky fur coats, and 2 skirts. The minky fabrics are really soft and warm. I'm glad I made these fur coats. =D I'm currently finishing orders and making new items. Hopefully I can update with new items again soon!

Its been almost a year since I last bought a Blythe doll! (I just realized that..lol) There's been a lot of releases and a lot of them don't really appeal to me. There were some I was looking forward to after seeing the drawings...but after seeing the promo pics, I lost interest. Currently there's 2 upcoming new Blythes I'm looking forward to...Frosty Flock and Princess Milk BisQuit. Frosty Flock reminds me of Mittens that I always wanted to get but it was a bit too expensive. Frosty Flock's stock outfit is very simple and plain...but I like the hair and make-up. Hopefully the promo pic won't disappoint me. Princess Milk BisQuit is a collab release with Q Pot (a Japanese company that makes really cute dessert/food jewelleries + accessories) I really like and want their stuff...so cute! http://www.q-pot.jp/ Princess Milk BisQuit reminds me of my lil heart by milk before I curled her hair. The hair color and make-up is very close...judging by the drawing. However I still want her if she turns out good. Frosty Flock will be out next month and Princess Milk BisQuit will be out in January....hopefully the price won't go up too high by the time I can buy them. I still have to pay bills, save for Christmas gifts and I'm also planning to go back to school...so if I do get them, it will be way later. =( Oh well...we'll see how they turn out first.

For now I know I really want to buy a Blythe torso outfit stand set. There's a few colors to choose from...I might get the black and white or the pink and white set....or both. I want 2 stands...one with a black base and another with a white/cream base. Too bad they have to split it up in 2 seperate sets..-__-. For now, I'll get 1 set and see how it goes.

Day # 91 Entry Memo @ 7 weeks, 6 days old! ﴾•Ө•﴿

Memo will be 8 weeks old tomorrow. It looks like he's gonna wean pretty soon...seeing how much seeds he eats on his own. I'm very proud of him~ This means my handfeeding job is almost finished. Its been a very tired 5+ weeks of handfeeding indeed. I've been feeding him twice a day for the past few days but he is eating very little each time and tries to fly away whenever he gets a chance. Very difficult to feed him when he's like that..especially when the formula cools down super fast! I skipped the morning feeding today to see if he'll be ok and he didn't seem to be bothered by it...just ate his seeds as usual. I'm gonna try feeding him next morning and if he's not interested, I don't think I'll have to feed him breakfast anymore. I think by 9 weeks old he should be completely weaned. I'm not gonna force him by stop feeding him completely...just gradually and let him tell me if he wants to be fed or not anymore.

My mom's been super annoying about feeding him...how he's old enough to eat on his own, etc. and how I should stop feeding him coz I'm spoiling him. >.>...its not about spoiling him. Making sure that he can completely eat on his own without me helping him is very important. Every bird weans differently at a different age. Some wean very fast and some wean super slow. I've been reading about lovebirds everyday from different owners and breeder's experiences and there were cases that some can wean as early as 6 weeks old and some 9, 12 or even longer. For Memo, I was expecting somewhere from 9 -12 weeks old...coz he was not parent raised, and plus he's the only baby. More babies will make things more competitive for them and they will try to compete for food which will make things faster. Plus they will try and follow one and another...and learn quicker. Parent raised ones....the dad normally teaches the babies how to eat by 6 weeks old...and by 8 weeks old, they should be completely weaned. For Memo being a single hand fed baby is pretty good he's weaning so fast imo.

Once he's weaned, I'm gonna get his wings clipped and buy him a bigger cage. I already have one in mind which I really like. Not that it'll be for myself or anything...xp...I like the shape, door locations and how the main door opens. I've read positive reviews on that cage so it should be pretty good. I already set aside money for it...so financially, I'm ok. =) That cage costs about $180...it'll be nice if I can spend it on a nice bag...I need a new black bag!

Earlier this month, I just spent about $100 on a really nice play pen for Memo. I've been spending too much money for the past few months! 0_0

﴾•Ө•﴿ <---- Memo

Left pic: he's eating on top of the play pen. =D

Day # 72 Entry Memo @ 5 weeks, 1 day old!

Its been a long time since I last updated...I'm finally getting a bit more sleep and time to do other things besides feeding Memo. I changed my birdie's name from Nemo to Memo...=p...my bf named it Memo...Me from daddy Melon and mo from mommy Momo. I'll always remember Momo and Melon. I had to give them away and I'm still sad about it...hopefully they're doing well right now and will go to a loving and caring home. =(

Memo is growing up very fast. I really want to know if its a she or a he...too bad you can't tell the gender physically. The only way I can find out is by doing a dna test..unless it shows some kind of sexual behaviour and actions. (humping something or laying eggs) I'm hoping Memo is a male...sometimes I have a feeling its a female and other times male. Its the first time I'm not certain about my birdie's gender. I got all 3 of my past lovebird's genders right based on my feeling that I get from them...and after a while, they showed the sexual behaviour and I was right. I might get a better idea after I transfer Memo into a cage...I'll see how it stands on the perch. I read in a book that female lovebird's legs are more apart when standing and that they are a bit lower onto the perch than males...so far that is true with my past 3 birdies. It was more obvious with Momo and Melon since I get a side to side comparison. =D Well...female or male, I'll still love Memo...just don't get too aggressive if you're a female!

Here is a pic of Memo that I took yesterday (5 weeks old!)

Memo is such a messy eater! My original plan was to somehow remove the egg with holes on it last thursday coz that's when the baby bird is exactly 2 weeks old. If anything bad happens, that would be the good age to pull it out to handfeed. Last tuesday evening, for no reason...Melon decided to crack open the egg and took a bite out of the dead baby inside the egg...which was all black and dried up...o_O. When I checked up on them, I accidentally saw a egg cracked open in half and some black dried up thing was in it. I immediately knew I have to remove it right away. It was 2 days earlier than my plan and I was shaking at that time thinking about what I'm about to do. One thing I'm glad is I bought all the supplies I need before this happened. Or else...that would of been quite bad I think. At first I've been trying to decide if I should just try to take out the egg and leave the baby with them...maybe they won't harm it...or I should just take the whole nesting box away so that I won't regret it if anything bad happens to the baby. At that time, I quickly made the decision to just remove the whole nesting box...that way, it can also prevent Momo from wanting to lay more eggs.

I took out a rubber spadula and a oven mit, I blocked the entrance to the nesting box with the spadula from the outside. (after waiting for the both of them to go to the food bowl to eat) I then, opened the cage door and put the cap on the entrance wearing the oven mit. At that time, Momo was right in front of the box. (I knew she would dash for it) If the spadula and the oven mit wasn't there, she would of attacked my hand. o_O....I removed the spadula, and I took out the box with both my hands. My whole body was really shaking and it lasted for a few hours. I took the baby bird out from the box and into the brooder. The baby's crop was full from Momo's feeding so I didn't need to feed it soon. I took a look at the cracked open egg and it was really gross. There was a tiny chunk of it missing...>.<...I think I did the right thing by removing the box...coz it can't be healthy at all from eating bird jerky. In the end, the bird jerky would be fed to the baby bird if I didn't remove it asap.

My first handfeeding was a few hours later at 12:00am...I was really scared. If I do one thing wrong, that can lead to instant death. I was relieved it went well....and even more relieved the baby bird is still alive~! After a week of handfeeding, and its still alive! I'm very happy....seeing the baby bird grow so fast everyday, makes me want to cry...T___T. The baby bird has a name now....and its Nemo. My bf named it Nemo...I still don't know if its a male or female yet...I'm hoping its a male...coz I don't want it to end up like Momo being so loud all the freakin time! Tomorrow, Nemo will be 3 weeks old! and that means I can extend the time between feedings! so instead of having to handfeed it 7 times a day, it'll be 6 times! Yes I've been having to feed it 7 times a day...with 3- 3.5 hours apart. From prep to feeding to clean-up, it takes about 1 hour. I also have to get up in the middle of the night to handfeed as well. That is the most painful part. I'm becoming more and more like a panda now!...but seeing Nemo grow so fast and eating well is all worth it~...but seriously if Momo lays any more eggs, I'm gonna replace them with fake ones coz I don't want to go through this again. Plus I can't have any more birds and I don't know where to give them to so its better if no more hatches...its a cruel thing to do. When this whole thing started, I didn't want to replace or boil the eggs so they won't hatch coz I feel its a cruel thing to do...but after experiencing all this, its better if this doesn't happen again.

Day # 41 Entry

I'm feeling more and more stressed out as to what to do...>.< I'm in a life or death situation with my birdies right now. Somebody help me make a decision!!

Ok this is what I'm stressed out about.
1. One of the last 2 eggs had holes on it for a few days now and I really think the baby died inside before being able to come out. Since there's already holes on it, the stuff inside will dry out and will start decaying. This will cause some heath issues if the egg is not removed. Having to remove the egg is the problem. To remove the egg, both my birds have to be out of the box so I can reach in the box to remove it....but Momo is always inside. Even when she's out, she can dash in quite quickly. Since the box is in the cage, I have to open the cage door to reach the nesting box door. By the time I reach the nesting box door, she's already inside. I'll have to somehow block the entrance hole from the outside when both of them is out. Maybe stick a chopstick through the bars to block the entrance? I dunno..>.<...another problem, the main problem is if I remove the egg, will Momo stop feeding the baby? The last 2 babies died right after I touched them. I'm stressing that even if I don't touch the baby, Momo knowing that I went in the box will still stop feeding it or even kill it. I dunno what she'll do if there is a egg missing too. If I do end up removing the egg and if she does stop feeding the baby, I'll have to pull it out to handfeed...but its still too young to be handfed. 10-14 days is the ideal age to handfeed. Earlier than that should be kept with the parents. Can I really wait till next week to remove the egg? o_O...that's too long! >.<

2. Handfeed or not...according to some expert breeders, handfeed /= tame birds. Socializing them is what tames them. It is recommended for beginners to leave the feeding to the parents, and just socialize with them. I'm scared if I handle them to socialize, they will stop feeding or kill it after I put it back. Should I just seriously pull it out to handfeed?...but either way, there is a chance it will still die...=( I understand the amount of time I have to spend feeding it and I'm devoted to but I'm scared that I'm not gonna do it right and it might kill the baby.

All this is stressing me out and I dunno what to do...=(

Day # 38 Entry

Haven't updated for a while..o_O... Well a lot happened since my last update.

Went on a weekend trip with my bf on August 16th and came back on August 18th. We went to seattle and I really enjoyed it. =D I was very happy coz it was our first trip. Even though it was short but it was fun! I planned on buying lots of clothing since we planned to go to the outlet mall and stuff (which we did go) but I couldn't see anything I wanna buy...=( I did however managed to buy other things during the trip...such as dolly dolly and Blythe books, fabrics, and some toys for birdies. My bf got me a ds game and a Juicy bracelet that I was planning to buy. =) hehe...I like it~ Now I just have to figure out which charms I wanna put on it. Actually there is one I wanna buy...I can only find it on ebay. The charm has a pair of peach faced lovebirds in a heart shape frame. The birds looks exactly like Momo and Melon. I"ll buy it once I save up some $$...I spent too much recently!

Here's updates on my birdies:

August 18th- Day #33:
When I got back, I went to check up on them. Before I went on the trip, I told my mom to help me change the water and give them fresh birdie bread to eat. I'm thankful that she did. =) Everything I check up on them, I would open the nesting box door to take a look at the eggs. This time is no different. When I opened the door, all of a sudden, a beige thing fell off right away. I screamed coz I don't remember seeing anything beige in there before. It will all the way to the bottom of the cage onto the newspaper. When I looked closely, it was a baby bird! It was moving...so I panically went to get a spoon, put the baby on it, and put it back inside the box. After that I went to call my bf and mom to let them know what happened. It only took a few minutes. After that I opened the door to see if it was ok...and it was dead...=( I accidently killed it. T_____T....it was really sad....

August 20th- Day# 35:
Second baby hatched. I heard little chirping noises once in a while. Like usual I opened the box to check up on them...but this time I had a towel on one of my hands and placed it underneath the box in case if a baby falls off....and it did! The second baby fell off right away! so I put it back in.

August 21th- Day# 36:
I went to check up on them to see how they're doing...the baby bird was still alive...however I noticed it wasn't fed...the crop wasn't big. The crop is the area underneath the neck and above the stomach area. Its where they store the food before it enters the stomach. I thought maybe I checked at a wrong time...maybe they'll feed it...so without doing anything, I left and waited for an hr before checking up on them again. 1 hr later, I checked and the baby was dead...=( It wasn't fed. I took it out from the nesting box and took pics of it to keep like the first bird. I compared the pics and noticed the first one was fed...so that means they knew they had to feed it. It was depressing seeing both baby birds died. Actually including the very first egg that fell down the cage, that's 3. Momo laid 6 eggs in total so half died already...=(

August 22th- Day# 37:
Third baby bird hatched! This time I didn't open the nesting box. I didn't want to disturb them anymore. I saw the baby through the hole of the box. It was fed and was wiggling its legs while on its back. It was so cute!

August 23th- Day# 38:
Today I went to peek through the hole and the baby is still alive and fed. I guess not opening the nesting box door helped a lot. The first 2 babies were on the edge of the door so when I opened it, they fell off. Whenever I try opening the door, Momo would come really close to it trying to attack me. While she's doing that, she accidently pushes the bedding down as well as the baby after I put it back in. This time I didn't open the door so the baby's been staying beside the eggs near the center...where it should be. Hopefully the baby will continuely be fed.

Day# 18 Entry

On thursday momo laid her 6th egg....and since then, she didn't lay anymore and she's been lying on top of them in the nesting box. I miss seeing her recently...she's been rarely coming out of the nesting box. =( and whenever I do, she'll quickly go back in. I noticed something however when she's out, she doesn't seem to have a lot of chest feathers anymore. I guess she's been plucking them out for her nest (coz there's a lot of feathers in there) Hopefully she won't overly do it or else I'll panic till they grow back...o_O

My dolly updates:

I've been updating my website recently...putting up updated pics and repair broken links, etc. It's quite time consuming but it looks a bit better than before. Her 5th one! I hope she won't lay anymore eggs. 4 is enough if they all hatch! o_O... oh boy...what am I gonna do if all 4 hatches. Taking care of them all is not a problem but its where I can put them is the problem. I don't have room in my bedroom to put them all...I can't put them anywhere else in the house since they can go pretty loud...it's not fair to my family. I'm gonna have to figure it out. o_o... oh I forgot to mention...Momo laid her 4th egg on Sunday...hehe

Today I also gave them some birdie bread. Melon ate some...hehe. This time I didn't sprinkle any millets on top and he still ate it so I was quite happy about that...hehe. =) I took this pic (the pic on the left) this morning...Momo as usual, is sitting or lying on top of the eggs and Melon stays outside of the nesting box. I don't really like this nesting box...but I had to get it coz there's no wooden ones around locally.

Besides doing orders and searching online for birdie info, I've been also trying to look for the perfect cage for them. This cage they're in, is tall and narrow and that's not the right cage for them since they hardly go down unless they need water or food. I need a cage that is wide.

Day #12 Entry

Today I tried my hands on making some birdie bread for Momo and Melon. =D I decided that I really have to get them to eat veggies...and birdie bread is suppose to be a good way to get them to eat it if you add veggies in it. The recipe was from a lovebird forum so I trust that it's safe for birdies to eat. I followed all the base instructions and steps and added the additional veggies of my choice. I just added broccoli and corn...in case if they don't eat it at all, I wouldn't waste too much food. I mixed all the ingredients and put the mix into a 8" x 8" baking pan lined with waxing paper. I baked it for about 30 minutes as instructed and it turned out fine! Thank goodness coz I haven't baked anything from scratch for like 4-5 years...lol. After the bread cooled off, I cutted it into 1" cubes...so yea I have like 64 of these bread cubes. Its gonna last me for little bit over 2 months. I'm gonna give them 1 cube a day...hehe.

Just a while ago, I spotted Melon eating the birdie bread! I'm sooo happy! really happy! He's always the first one to stay away from anything new in the cage but ever since Momo started laying eggs, he completely changed. He's more brave and protective now instead of being a coward. XD It's a good thing. I hope he'll continue to eat it...the birdie bread should give him more nutrients...and since he feeds Momo, she'll have more nutrients as well. I've been worrying that Momo might not have enough nutrients since she laid 4 eggs...so I'm trying to give her more variety of food. She's been staying in the nesting box most of the day today as expected...I don't get to see her much but when I go over to the cage to talk to Melon, she'll answer instead. It's kinda funny. hehe

Day #10 entry

Birdie finally laid her 3rd egg! I was expecting the third egg on monday but as of now, there's none. I've been quite worried that the egg could be stuck inside (egg binding) but she doesn't look like she is coz she looks fine and healthy. Her lower stomach is still bigger than normal but not as big as the day before she laid the second egg. I've been reading around lovebird forums and websites and they all say a egg every other day with 4-6 eggs per clutch. There were a few exceptions especially for the first clutch that it could be less like 3 eggs...and there were cases of delays up to a week to lay the egg. Momo's eating fine...her movements are fine and her eyes are very opened and not like she's sick. Her poo looks fine too. I just hope there's nothing wrong with her.

Last night I stayed up late like usual...sewing and going online to look up info. I'm really glad there's youtube...lol. Reading info and actually visually looking at it is quite different. There were many lovebird clips with useful tutorials...such as how to build a brooder. I've been trying to know how to make one and that clip really helps a lot. Now I know how and what materials I need, I can make one as soon as the egg hatches (if it does) There were also a few handfeeding clips and egg hatching clips as well. If the egg does hatches, I'm thinking of handfeeding it. I've read that after the baby hatches, you're suppose to leave it with their parents to feed for 10 days unless you really have to...like them not feeding it or hurting the baby. After about 10 days, you can remove the baby from the nest and put it in a brooder and hand feed it. The hand feeding part is difficult though. I still don't know the amount of formula I need to mix and what temperature...and also I'll have to feed it quite a few times a day...during the day and middle of the night as well. It is a lot of work but at the same time it can be fun and rewarding...so I dunno. I want a tame lovebird just like my first one. I really miss that little guy...=(

Day #3 entry

July 19, 2008

Momo's belly looked smaller than yesterday. My mom and I suspect she laid a egg already. I've been trying to peek in the hole of the nesting box and see if there is a egg but Momo and Melon kept blocking my view by standing right in front of the hole. -___-;...I kept saying excuse me but they didn't care...lol. The egg that I discovered was still on the table. Since there's a hole on it, I have to throw it away...but for some reason I couldn't get myself to do it till today. Mom was curious about what it looks like inside....I was too...so I gently cracked open part of the shell. It looks exactly like a chicken egg...except its a lot smaller. Actually I still don't know if the egg was fertile or not. -__-...mom told me to take a pic and here it is:

After I took the pic, I threw the egg away...=(...

My curiosity was killing me...so I opened the nesting box to check if there is a egg inside....and there was one! To keep track of things, I'm gonna update frequently from now on for records...lol

July 17, 2008- Day #1 Entry

In the morning I discovered a white egg with a hole on it sitting at the bottom of the cage, on top of the newspaper right beside the water bowl. I was freaked out and started screaming and ran to my mom...lol. I should of known she had a egg inside of her...recently her lower stomach seem bigger than normal and I can easily see her bum hole when she poo. If I realized sooner, I think the egg would of been saved. =( sigh...I took the egg out of the cage, put it on a paper towel, and took pics of it to keep. I was standing there in front of the cage to observe Momo and she acted like usual. While having breakfast, I searched online for lovebird mating and breeding info and that's when I know I need to get a nesting box and other stuff for them. I went to the pet store in the afternoon and got a nesting box, carefresh bedding, pellets, perches, and a new toy. When I got home, I cleaned their cage and started rearranging the cage with the new stuff. I put some beddings in the nesting box and then put the whole thing in the top right corner of the cage. I took out 2 old perch as it was in the way and put in 2 new ones that are shorter. Also put some pellets in the empty food bowl and hung a new toy up after taking down the old one. It took awhile for Momo and Melon to know how to get in. ..but they eventually figured it out. Momo rearranged the bedding right away...pushing the beddings to the sides. I was worried there was nothing left at the bottom. Melon remained right outside the nesting box trying to protect Momo. Ever since I put the nesting box in the cage, Melon's been quite brave and protective... unlike his usual coward self...lol

July 18, 2008- Day #2 Entry

I got up right away in the morning (usually it takes a while for me to get out of bed..lol) I went downstairs to check up on them and they seemed ok. Momo's belly looked even bigger than yesterday. From a lot of reading in lovebird forums, I learned that they usually will lay about 4-6 eggs per clutch, one egg every other day. o_O...so I'm glad I got them a nesting box...getting them a nesting box and supplying them with nesting materials is the least I could do as their owner. If she does have more eggs...hatch or not, I'll deal with it. I know some owners doesn't want their birds to have baby birdies so they would replace the eggs with fake ones or take their eggs, boil them and put them back so they won't hatch. I can't get myself to do that so I'll just leave it up to fate...since Momo is ready and wants to have them. I'll leave it up to the both of them and see if they can have more eggs and hatch them. I was worried yesterday that there won't be any beddings at the bottom of the nesting box so I put more in while Momo was trying to attack me. >.< I was also trying to see if there's any eggs. It was difficult to see since the bedding is white, the nesting box is white, and the egg is white...lol...I couldn't see any.

Good News!

About a month ago I shipped out a package to one of my customer that I thought it was lost for sure. After I shipped it out, I received a message from her and she told me her Paypal shipping address was incorrect coz she moved already but forgot to change the address. There was nothing I could do since it wasn't my responsibility that the address wasn't changed and I mailed it out already...so I just told her I would let her know if the package returns to me. That was all I could do since I can't possibly send her a new one as it wasn't my mistake. After a month, (which is today) I received the package in the mail! It was returned to me~ I actually didn't think it will return back to me...so I was quite surprised. I took a pic of the package right away, and sent a message to her with the photo attached to let her know the package was returned back to me. I really thought it was lost coz if there was someone living at the address now, they could of just threw away the package or something if they didn't care about it since its not theirs. Its either there is someone nice living there or nobody lives there and the mailman couldn't deliver it. Anyways, now I'm just waiting for her reply with the correct address and postage and I can repackage it and ship it out asap. Hopefully there won't be any problems this time and it will reach there safely.~ =)

Speaking of packages, I'm still waiting for 2 packages in the mail. The buttons and the dolly sunglasses. I'm quite anxious about the buttons coz I really need them. I completely ran out of red buttons...sigh...kinda wished I knew I could custom order them sooner. Yea I thought my buttons supplier was still waiting for her shipment but it turns out she already got them...just that I didn't know about it. The reason is..she no longer sells them (by color) separately but instead all the colors together. I don't need all of them and plus I need more of some of the colors. I just took a chance and emailed her to see if she did receive her shipment and if I could order the colors separately. Good thing I did coz she did in fact received it and I could custom order it...so that was good. Now I just have to patiently wait for it. Hopefully I'll get it this week.

Finally done! woohoo!

Yes finally! I finally finished my 2 annoying essays! I'm so happy that its finally done! T___T.. I've been extremely busy with these 2 essays and orders I received from the past few days. The essays are due next monday and I originally planned to have them done by saturday. I can't believe I finished them a day ahead of schedule~ Now I can concentrate on doing the orders! I received my big fabric shipment the other day (thank god I didn't have to pay for any UPS fees) and I've been restraining myself not to work on them. Now I can touch them once I finish my orders~

Next month I'll be going on a small trip with my bf =D...hehe...I'm very excited since this will be our first trip. I'm looking forward to packing my bags and going on the trip~ I'll be bring one of my girls along to take pics and stuff but I'll need to customize her first. Hopefully I'll find time to do that before we go. I just have to sand her, give her lip gloss (clear paint on the lips), and cut her bangs. It should only take a day. I wonder if there will be any craft or fabric stores around.

Few days ago I bought some really cute sunglasses for my girls. I actually saw identical ones in HK last summer at BHC's store but I wasn't able to buy any coz the store owner said they are not selling them till a month later (which I was already gone)...I've been seeing them at BHC's website but they are a bit expensive for me for just sunglasses...but I must admit...they look really well made in person. (I saw the sample on display) Anyways, I saw replicas of the BHC's sunglasses (I'm pretty sure BHC made them first) and they were 1/3 of the price and plus it comes in colors BHC don't have. I normally wouldn't buy rip-offs but they pink (which was sold out at BHC anyways) and black (which they don't even have) I can't wait to get them in the mail. Maybe I'll take a pic of myself wearing my own sunglasses with one of my girls wearing hers...lol

I updated my etsy shop with tops like the pic on the left few weeks ago. I was having a hard time trying think of accessories that can go with the top to sell as a set. I thought of doing hair clip, purse, necklace, and earrings....but at the end, I chose not to do anything and just leave it the way it is...lol...I think it still looks pretty good plain like this. Sometimes plain is not a bad thing. =D

Momo and Melon

Left: Momo (wouldn't stop moving!!)-------------------------Right: Melon

Took pics of my lovebirds recently =D Momo is female and Melon is male. Normally you wouldn't be able to tell a lovebird's gender by just looking and stuff unless you do a dna test...but there are cases where their behavior and actions reveals their gender. Fortunately I was able to tell without doing a dna test. =D I have my lovebirds for about 2 years now...and I've been guessing/ assuming that Momo is a girl and Melon is a guy, till last year around october when one time I accidently saw Melon on top of Momo doing you know what...lol. At that time I was pretty convinced about their genders but not 100%...I had this weird thought that maybe they'll take turns being the 'male' or something...o_O...XD...so I looked up info on lovebirds online and stuff and from what I've read, females legs when standing tends to spread apart more than males...and yes Momo's legs does spread apart more and Melon's legs are pretty close together. A while after the first time I saw them doing you know what, I saw it again a few times, and Melon was on top all those times. Plus I saw him feeding Momo mouth to mouth with his seed paste a few times. (gross >.<) so yea I'm certain about their genders...lol...recently Momo's behavior is getting more aggressive...one time I saw her pulled out a bunch of Melon's lower back feathers! Poor Melon...=( I was worried about Melon's safety so I searched online for some info on lovebirds behaviors. Apparently female lovebirds can be quite aggressive towards their mate...and there were cases where female lovebirds can kill male lovebirds. o_O...a lot of posts I've read in lovebird forums suggests separating the two lovebirds in separate cages to stop the violence. I think its mean to separate them but if the violence continues, I'll have no choice but to do it. I got them some new toys...hopefully they will distract Momo. I rather she rips the toys apart than Melon!!

Working on website...

I finally updated my website with new items! Among the new items, there's 4 long sleeve floral dresses. Those were challenging to make. I forgot how long I spent trying to figure out how to sew the front opening part...0_o...but I'm glad they turned out great. =D I'm charging them a bit more than my other dresses coz of the amount of work and time it takes to make one....plus the fabric is absolutely gorgeous~ I can only make 2 of each of the 4 floral dresses coz of the limited laces I have. Too bad I couldn't get more. =(

Now that I finished all the current orders, I'm gonna spend time making the website look better. There are 2 pages (my girls and customizing tips) that I've been leaving them blank. I'm gonna work on the my girls page first...have it set up and take pics of my girls after. I have 5 girls waiting for me to customize so until they're finished, I won't be taking pics of them. I'm planning to make a little profile for each of my girls with their pic, birthdate (if I still remember XD) and the customzing work I did for them. As for the customizing tips page, I still have the pics from the old customzing tips page but they're not that good...so I'm gonna take new pics, rewrite the steps and put them up later. Its gonna take a while. lol... but I'm gonna do it. I've left that page blank for too long.

Recently I felt like my Blythe clothes look boring....like they're nothing special. I'm really lacking inspiration...I guess I really don't have what it takes to be a doll fashion designer/ maker...=( I have all these new unused fabrics and accessories and I'm not using them...actually its more like dunno what to do with them. What I should make out of them. sigh... anyways...I should work on my website first...I'll be relisting the sold items on etsy soon. =)

My passion for Blythe

I haven't touched my blythe dolls for the past few months...I feel bad. I used to have so much fun with my girls...bringing them along with me when I go out, dressing them up and taking pics....but for the past few months, I've been concentrating on other stuff, that I totally ignored them. =( When I first started collecting blythe, it was all about playing with them and sewing clothes for them to wear...now its at the point where I sew to make money to pay for bills and stuff and it feels like I'm not sewing for the right idea anymore. I guess it can't be helped for now since I'm not working and stuff. =( Lately I have a lot of stuff on my mind...I guess I'm a bit stressed out about it and there's really nothing I can do to help solve the problems...I guess the only thing I can do is to try my best with whatever I'm doing. Sitting there doing nothing but stressing out about it won't help at all....so I need to ganbatte!!! I need to be more happy and play with my girls again. I should really take new photos of my girls...especially the ones I still haven't took pics with...o_O...

Recently I got another custom order request for a pink skull hoodie:

New items at etsy shop

Finally listed some new items at my etsy shop...come to think of it, I haven't done so for like 5 months now. Well I have been listing sold items all this time but actually making new items and listing them, yea its been like 5 months. I still have all these fabrics that I've been buying but never had the chance to use. My room is slowly becoming a mini fabric store...lol...today I went to the fabric store...more fabrics added to the storage~

The red checkered skirt pic on the left is one of the new items I put up. It is also one of my fav items coz the fabric was really hard to find. Well checkered fabric in general is not hard to find...but to have the pattern dolly scaled is super hard to find. Atleast it was to me! I always wanted a skirt like this for my girls so I'm really happy to be able to get this fabric and make it into a skirt. To make the skirt more cool, I attached the chain on the side of the skirt.

The style of the dress in the right pic is something I like to wear myself and for my girls to wear. The dress I have is not the same but quite similar in style and I like to wear it with skinny jeans and flats. The jeans my girl is wearing was also made by me. It took me a day to make it completely fitted without being too small to fit or too loose. Its like the closest I could get to skinny jeans...and I'm very pleased with it. =D

Custom hoodie =D

Last week I received a request for a custom hoodie. Maybe coz it's cold? 2 year ago (winter of 2006) I knitted some toques for my girls...I found a pattern for it and tried it out with my limited knitting skills. Surprisingly I managed to figure out what to do and made a few...hehe =D This year...well few days ago I felt like knitting again. I took out the pattern and looked at it again to try to remember how I did it. It turns out that I could've knitted it differently. When I did it before, I used straight needles which I had to sew the toque together afterwards. According to the pattern, I can use dpns too...and by doing so, I wouldn't need to sew the toque together. Ofcourse at first I didn't know what dpns means until I searched for it online and in my knitting books. After seeing a pic of what the needle looks like, I remember seeing them at michaels before. I used to wonder why the needle's ends are the same and how come there's a few in a pack and not just 2. Now I know why...lol...I learned something!

Now if I know how to crochet, that would be sweet. Why didn't I take arts and crafts in high school?? I would of learned to crochet...T___T...I really need a book on crochet for dummies....lol or rather crochet for idiots like me...-___-

Mod Molly!

Finally got my mod molly last week. My bf gave me a ultimate tour by momolita doll for Christmas. =D I was so happy...coz that's the doll I wanted to get and also that's the first neo sized Blythe doll my bf gave me. Honestly I've been wanting to get a Blythe doll from him as a present but I've been trying not to say anything coz they're not cheap....and now I got one! hehe... =D

I decided to name her momolita...its not like I wasn't trying to think of a name for her...just thought the name momolita really suits her. I had no choice but to curl it....now she looks really pretty!
